St Luke’s is a member parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Central New York and the Episcopal Church.
The Episcopal Diocese of Central New York is a community of 11,000 faithful Episcopalians in 82 congregations, working together for a world healed by love. The diocese is one of six in the state of New York. It goes from Utica in the East to Seneca Falls in the west, from the Pennsylvania border to Lake Ontario. The diocesan offices are in Syracuse and the diocese is led by our bishop, the Right Reverend DeDe Duncan Probe.
The Episcopal Church consists of 111 dioceses all across the United States and in 11 other nations. It was founded by missionaries from the Church of England in colonial times. The church formally broke from the Church of England and established itself in the wake of the American Revolution. The Episcopal Church is a member of a worldwide association of other churches related to the Church of England known as the Anglican Communion.
